I was in similar shoes as you about one year ago. I mentioned listening as his cd's are easy listening and he just stays so calm. His website has a great reading list, IMHO. I wish you all the best in your search. For me, the more I read the more questions I had. I'm taking my time on Dawkins, Hitchens (Mortality, I consider a must read) and Harris.

Has anyone heard about Elders latest instructions re: Child abuse?
by Newly Enlightened inok, we got an email thru facebook from a viewer of ours and he said that he had heard, that it is not even going out in a boe letter, the elders have to sign into their secure https://www.jw.org/apps/e_hfrsfvtrhc1.
page to get firmer instructions on how to handle any child abuse accusations and they are being told not to call the police..

I am thankful my daughter is in the process of choosing colleges to apply to. My immediate family hasn't made any negative comments. They are all JW and my parents are struggling financially in a huge way As of the last couple years. They are quite young and don't seem to have any plan to deal with living another 20-30 years.
